POONGLIM Pharmatech, known for its reputation in the "K-Syringe" sector, held discussions with a Turkmenistan economic delegation. It is widely recognized as a unique player in the global medical device market under the label of 'K-Syringe company.' This meeting is seen as an opportunity to explore business prospects in Turkmenistan.

According to the Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 26th, an economic delegation led by Baymurat Annaamamedov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Construction Industry, visited South Korea from the 17th to the 21st and met with domestic companies. Turkmenistan is a resource-rich country in Central Asia and possesses the world's fourth-largest natural gas reserves.

Beyond energy, Turkmenistan has been diversifying its industries into construction, healthcare, and more, making it an emerging market of interest.

Top executives of POONGLIM Pharmatech discussed medical device business, including syringes, with the Turkmenistan economic delegation. The delegation included prominent figures such as Deputy Prime Minister Baymurat Annaamamedov, the head of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, and the chairman of Turkmenkhimvolokno.

Joh Seung-hyun, the managing director, stated, "While it is true that we met with the Turkmenistan delegation, there were no discussions regarding technology transfer, investment, or business. It was a practical exchange of opinions among professionals regarding medical device business and research and development (R&D) technology."

Typically, after an injection, there is some leftover liquid in the syringe. However, POONGLIM Pharmatech has developed and produces a "squeezable" syringe, where there is almost no space left between the piston and the needle.

POONGLIM Pharmatech gained attention in the industry during the COVID-19 pandemic when vaccines were in high demand. While a regular syringe can inject up to 5 doses per vial of the COVID-19 vaccine, POONGLIM Pharmatech's LDS syringe can inject more than 6 doses per vial. It has also received approval for use from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and has been exported to countries including the United States, Japan, and India.
